Joseph Salerno, owner and award-winning designer for Ribbon & Reed Custom Cabinetry began his apprenticeship in cabinetry as a young boy in his father’s workshop.  His father brought his cabinetry skills to this country from Sicily after World War II and taught his son each phase of the craft.  This “old school” way meant perfection in every fine detail; no shortcuts could be taken; no fault overlooked.  A business was built upon integrity, reputation and customer satisfaction.  Today, Joseph is able to take this expertise to a higher level utilizing his degree in engineering and his unique interpretations of old world, modern and eclectic home design.

Joseph hand drafts his designs paying particular attention to each layout for uniqueness as well as functionality.  He guides his customers through each project from beginning to end always incorporating their needs and desires.  Whether it is a kitchen, a bathroom or an entertainment center, every detail is checked and rechecked to ensure every customer’s satisfaction.  It is his ability to offer top quality customer service that sets Joseph apart from his peers.

Joseph’s designs have been published in numerous magazines such as Design NJ, New Jersey Countryside Magazine and Kasmar Publications as well as various trade magazines.  He has been a member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) for more than 10 years.
